Create as many Claim Codes as desired, delete codes as needed, and track their usage. Set a Claim Limit and Expiration to limit a code's availability to a certain number of people or until a specified date. These features can help you offer limited edition opportunities, or define the time period during which you will be available to review submitted evidence and issue credentials.
Members with Premier accounts or higher can specify their own unique claim codes (of as few as three easy to remember characters). This feature is especially useful for events, conferences, and other in-person activities; organisational branding and sponsorship opportunities; and the issuing of commemorative badges or outreach via social media.
After creating Claim opportunities for your badges and credentials, we've made informing your audience about the availability of your certifications super easy. In one click, you can share your badge claim codes and links on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn, or copy your code for use on your site, emails or other systems. You can even send the claim code using an integrated email notification system (branded with your logo or banner, if you are Premier issuer). And you'll get a notification when badges requiring approval are claimed.
Recipients visit their Digitalme.Credly account and click 'claim credit' at the top of the page to enter claim codes and earn badges, follow unique links Digitalme.Credly generates for you, or access claim codes or claim links found in your site, app or learning experience.
Analytics and Reporting
Digitalme.Credly Reports, found in the "My Credit" area of your account, offers powerful analytics about the use, visibility, and sharing of the credentials you issue. Keep track of how many badges are claimed, who has earned them, and where issued badges are being shared. Reports, which are searchable and exportable in real time, also display the total number of times a badge is seen, clicked, shared or viewed across Digitalme.Credly and all Open Credit enabled apps and sites, give you the metrics you need to track impact of credentials over time.
How Credly Issuers are Using Badge ClaimSome of the ways issuers are using the new features include:
Asking event participants to submit artefacts, links, photos, media or reflections to earn credentials for participation, while forming a useful collection of resources
Disseminating custom or vanity claim codes to easily issue massive numbers of credentials and badges reward participation and achievement at scale
Collecting evidence and artifacts in exchange for certifications and badges
Issue Open Badges and digital credentials even when you do not know recipient email addresses
Distribute credentials via social media, such as Tweets, Facebook or LinkedIn sharing.
Open Credit API: Badge Claim for DevelopersLike all Credly functions, every aspect of Badge Claim is built on Open Credit, and fully documented endpoints are available in the Open Credit Developer Portal for organisations building credential management into their apps, sites, tools or platforms. There's simply no better way to manage and build digital badging apps and issue standards-based Open Badges than with the most comprehensive Developer API available.
